The past few months have been challenging for many people in Alameda County and across the United States. The COVID-19 pandemic has forced business shutdowns, leading to widespread layoffs and furloughs and worsening food insecurity issues for many families. Through Subaru's Love Promise, the automaker has been committed to supporting local communities for years. Now, the automaker is expanding on that initiative with the new Subaru Loves to Help program.

Through the new program, Subaru of America and its retailers are committing to donate 50 million meals to Feeding America, in an effort to increase food availability at 199 local food banks across the US. This initiative represents a response to Subaru's responsibility as a large corporation and is another way that it demonstrates its purpose as more than just a car company.

Here at Albany Subaru, we are joining the Subaru Loves to Help program and partnering with the Alameda County Community Food Bank. We've committed to matching the original 100,000 meal donation, for a total of 200,000 donated meals.

If you'd like to contribute to the effort, you can join Subaru in Feeding America, or give directly to the Alameda County Community Food Bank.
